COVID Vaccinations Required

We require all students enrolling in Fall 2021 to provide proof of a COVID-19 vaccinations as authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and suggested by the U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

DO YOU HAVE a dream?

Our approach to teaching is thinking matters: ways of thinking, and ways of acting.

We will accomplish this through weaving thinking and acting through several departments. Importantly, our students will undertake innovative and transformative experiential learning projects.  We start this Academic Year with three departments, as follows.

Space Studies Department

We live in an extraordinary period of exploration. In this transformative era, space is a vantage point from which to dramatically advance the exploration of our planet, the solar

system and the universe. Also, we will study, design and implement exploratory development projects and next-generation entrepreneurial opportunities.

We offer a series of courses, workshops, internships, and projects where students will excavate, renovate and convert a deactivated missile silo test into a low orbit satellite launch site and a space laser site. The facilities in Wyoming were formerly a United States Intercontinental Ballistic Missile launch site, part of U.S. Air Force.  The Department is layered in ascending divisions starting this Academic Year with these disciplines:

➤  General Aviation

        ◦ Personal Flying, Personal Urban Mobility, Drone Utilization

➤  Autonomous Commercial Aviation

        ◦ Air Traffic Control, Computer Controlled Aircraft

➤  Aeronautics and Astronautics

        ◦ Meteoritics, Laser Science, Low Orbit Satellites

Department of Sustainable Food Systems

Climate change is an existential threat as it places our food supply at risk. From a global surplus, we have come to food deserts. A sustainable food ecosystem is a grand challenge. Future agriculture will use sophisticated technologies such as robots, temperature and moisture sensors, aerial images, and GPS technology. These advanced devices will enable precision agriculture which will allow farms to be more profitable, efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly. WIT will design, test, and implement projects to promote food security, equity and justice. By Academic Year 2022, we plan to acquire a significant agricultural landholding to implement these goals.

Technology and the media are interwoven, evolving from early print to modern publications, from radio to television to film to streaming. New digital media continues to emerge in the online world, encompassing all interactive forms of information exchange. Social media now create an endless amount of access for any and every voice. Using KMTP TV 33, San Francisco, a WIT-owned educational broadcast station, WIT will be a training ground for creative content to interact with the local community and nationally via streaming distribution programming and information to advance its educational programs and students
